Yahoo! Mash Goes Under -Did You Know it Existed?

Yahoo! had an alternative to Facebook.  Who knew? The service, which launched in invite-only mode less than a year ago, sent a note to its members, including Mark Palmer.  The note appeared on the popular social networking blog, Mashable. An excerpt is below,

Please note that we will shut down Mash on September 29, 2008. As a result, your current profile on Mash will no longer be available. We strongly recommend that you return to http://mash.yahoo.com and copy the content that you wish to save onto a separate document.

When you click on the link, where you’re apparently supposed to retrieve your information, you’re brought to yahoo.com. I’m not a mash member, so perhaps someone who is will tell me if there is actually any way to get into to the now defunct site.
