  • Robert Ganshorn - an American ex-pat living in Thailand. He used to live in Indiana and started one of the first LGBT orgs in the state
  • Yasmin Nair - an India-born journalist from Chicago who talks about how much she hates Coming Out Day
  • Waymon Hudson - President of Fight Out Loud and a major player in the amendment battle in Florida
  • Toni Hill-Meyer - a transgender activist. Her piece focuses on sex workers

  • Patricia Nell Warren - New York Times bestselling author

Bil Browning, Founder of The Bilerico Project, told Helzerman’s Odd Bits, “National Coming Out Day is an important part of the queer year. We honor those who have stepped forward in previous years to put a human face on the LGBT community. Without so many of our forefathers and mothers standing up for equality and putting their necks on the line against incredible prejudice, we wouldn’t have advanced the cause of equality for all.”

Stories will be posted throughout the weekend.
